The Theodore Marches Into NorthPark Center Next Week

Get psyched for Tim Byres's newest concept.

Dining at shopping mecca NorthPark Center is about to be turned on its head, thanks to the newest concept from Tim Byres, Chris Jeffers, and Chris Zielke: The Theodore, slated to debut between Nordstrom and Macy's next Monday, November 16.

As the presidential name would indicate, the concept revolves around a general theme of Americana: Cocktails by Kyle Hilla (formerly of Bolsa) are named for national parks and the food menu promises reinvented American classics, though specific dishes are still a mystery for now.

The space is divided into separate and distinct areas: the restaurant is known as the Hasty Pudding Club, the bar is called the Badlands, and the outdoor patio is known as the Cottonwoods. From what the restaurant's Instagram account has revealed thus far, the space has a decidedly vintage vibe replete with hand-painted murals, ornate furniture, and unusual knickknacks:

The bakery was created with the help of David Norman from Austin's restaurant/bake shop/beer garden Easy Tiger, and will provide the restaurant with fresh-baked bread 'round the clock; the Theodore plans to eventually cater to early-morning shoppers with breakfast pastries and coffee, too.

Stay tuned for menus and a closer look inside The Theodore. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m Saturday and Sunday. Two separate happy hours will run every weekday from 3 to 7 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.
