OAK CLIFF – In the latest of a slew of new openings in Oak Cliff, Jed’s Grill is open and serving up "classic American food" in the space that formerly housed Herrera’s Cafe. The restaurant, founded by mother-and-son team and restaurant industry veterans Estella Gallegos and Jonathan Kovens, will serve comfort food classics like a pizza grilled cheese with housemade ranch, housemade tater tots, and chicken & waffles. Jed’s Grill will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. [EaterWire]

EAST DALLAS – The Bake Sale, an occasional pop-up bakery from two incredibly experienced Dallas pastry chefs, will pop-up again at Jimmy’s Food Store on December 19th. The duo of Lily Hansen and Skye McDaniel, who have stints at Bolsa, Village Baking Co, Boulevardier, and Cafe Momentum under their belts, will offer classic holiday favorites, including Amish friendship bread and rugelach at the pop-up, and guests can place orders on the 19th to pick-up on the 23rd, just in time for Christmas. LOWER GREENVILLE – Sundown at Granada, the restaurant adjacent to popular Lower Greenville music venue The Granada Theatre is getting a fresh new update. Chef Jason West, former executive chef at Oak Lawn’s Steel, has introduced a "culinary-forward" new seasonal menu that still maintains the restaurant focus on fresh and healthy dishes. Gracing the new menu are a variety of new entrees, including Meatballs Nirvana, made with Akaushi brisket, Berkshire pork, and red wine marinara sauce. Signature staples, like the popular vegan Buddha Burger, will stick around now that West has taken the reins. [EaterWire]
