Scope Out the New Dallas Farmers Market, Now With Caribbean Cuisine And An Oyster Bar

Twelve forthcoming eateries and more vendors than ever await.

On Friday, the Dallas Farmers Market officially opened its much-anticipated re-vamp of The Market, formerly known as Shed 2. Originally, the plan was that 12 eateries would open their doors on Friday, but that progress has at least for now, been delayed. The Market's outpost of Taqueria La Ventana has a projected opening date of January 2016, and just a few vendors, like Caribbean Cabana and Rex's Seafood, were serving up their wares on opening day.

Still, the improvement at Shed 2 is pretty darn impressive, and more eateries will open their doors in the coming weeks. Eater Dallas photographer Kathy Tran was there on opening day (along with pretty much everyone else in Dallas) to capture the action.
