False alarm, folks: Deep Ellum sausage spot Luscher's will not be debuting next Monday, February 23 as originally thought. A rep for the new concept from The Grape chef-owner Brian Luscher sends word that the opening has been pushed back to Monday, March 2.
That's an additional seven days you'll have to wait to devour handmade hot dogs and Wagyu Italian beef sandwiches, as well as the bacon burgers, onion rings, and weirdly green Chicago-made soda that Chef Luscher has been teasing via social media.
Look on the bright side: By the time the restaurant opens for biz, it'll probably be warm enough to fully enjoy a beer and a Chicago-style dog at one of the picnic tables that were just installed on the patio.
