More new restaurants on the horizon for Addison: The first is Fast Furious Japanese, a fast-casual concept that already has an existing location in Irving. It specializes in hibachi-style fare with grilled proteins, tofu, or vegetables served over rice or noodles, as well as sushi, gyoza, miso soup, and some Korean-influenced dishes like bibimbap. The Addison outpost will be located at 3761 Belt Line Road (near Marsh Lane).

Next on the agenda is Naf Naf Grill, which according to Addison's online restaurant database is headed to the shopping center at 5000 Belt Line Road just off the Tollway where Kenny's Wood-Fired Grill, the recently opened Al's Italian Beef, and a host of other restaurants reside. The Illinois-born concept specializes in falafel and beef or chicken shawarma served up on pita that's freshly baked in house (paging Scott Reitz) or over a bed of turmeric-laced basmati rice before being topped with garnishes like sumac onions, Middle Eastern-style pickles, tahini, or garlic sauce. Per the Naf Naf website, all locations feature an open kitchen and bakery and "a modern design and renewable materials."

Also opening soon in Addison is The Market Hall, a multi-faceted restaurant and market that's just one of dozens of new food halls spreading across the country.
