A new taco option is on the way for Lowest Greenville: Fort Worth-born Yucatan Taco Stand is preparing to open its first Dallas location in about two weeks, per a help wanted ad on Craigslist. The taco and torta shop is part of the new-construction restaurant complex near Trader Joe's that will also eventually house Korean fast-casual spot B.B.Bop Seoul Kitchen and the new project from the Boulevardier team, Rapscallion.

Yucatan's menu is extensive, including everything from yucca fries and empanadas to ceviche and shrimp cocktail. Tacos are served on white corn tortillas and go beyond the usual cilantro and onion found on street tacos: lettuce, tomato, red onion, Chihuahua cheese, cilantro, purple cabbage, queso fresco, and roasted garlic aioli, to be exact. Taco fillings include tequila-lime chicken, shredded garlic beef, and the house specialty, tempura fried fish. Burritos, burrito bowls, and tortas are available with similar fillings and garnishes; more elaborate entrees include chiles rellenos, Venezuelan-style paella, and banana leaf-wrapped tamales.

Expect a fast-casual setup with a full bar; margaritas come frozen or on the rocks, including flavored options like hibiscus, jalapeno, strawberry-basil, pineapple-cinnamon, and cucumber-mint.
