Emporium Pies Dreams Up Carrot Cake Pie Just in Time for Easter

Since the dawning of the Cronut™ era, countless other dessert hybrids have been born — churrnuts, duffins, wonuts, et al — and now local dessert specialists Emporium Pies are introducing a clever new mashup of their own: carrot cake pie.

The as-yet-unnamed creation will be available whole or by the slice at both the Bishop Arts and downtown McKinney locations on April 3 and 4 — that's the Friday and Saturday before Easter — only. Emporium is currently soliciting name suggestions via social media, and whoever comes up with the winning moniker gets a free one.

If carrots in your pie don't appeal, Emporium's pastry lineup has recently been updated with other spring-appropriate flavors including the Blue Steel (blueberry) and In the Limelight, a key lime custard pie with cream cheese topping.
