RICHARDSON—Alamo Drafthouse's latest edition of "Hopped Up Cinema" takes place Tuesday, April 21 at 8 p.m. and will feature Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof and an exclusive brew from Peticolas. The $25 ticket price gets you admission to the movie, a flight of five beers, and a commemorative pint glass. [Alamo Drafthouse]

DENTON—Denton's annual food truck fest goes down this Thursday from 3 to 11 p.m. at three venues: East Side Denton, Oak St. Drafthouse, and Austin St. Truck Stop. Expect 14 trucks including several that are native to Denton like The Pickled Carrot and The Waffle Wagon, plus drink specials and special tappings all day at East Side Denton. Kid- and dog-friendly. IRVING—Another new restaurant has just been announced for Irving's upcoming Music Factory development: The Yardhouse, the beer-heavy California-based chain that recently opened a location in Addison.
