DESIGN DISTRICT—Here's a good reason to hit up Rodeo Goat, in case you needed one: The newest burger battle contender is the Black Magic burger, a house-ground andouille sausage patty with spicy remoulade, green tomato chutney, and Southern-fried okra. Yes please. [RG/Facebook]

OAK CLIFF—Adorably modern bakery JOY Macarons has a new macaron ice cream sandwich flavor: ube, or purple yam, which is popular in Filipino cuisine. Best grab a six-pack of cookies for the road whilst you're there. [JOY/Facebook]

FORT WORTH—Tim Love's Woodshed Smokehouse now sells its pitmaster fat to go. What, exactly, is pitmaster fat? A mixture of all the drippings from the restaurant's various meats (think cabrito, pork, beef, and lamb) that's then strained and seasoned with a spice rub. Woodshed suggests you use it as a dip for bread or tortillas or to enhance gravy or pie dough, but you could also just slather it all over your body. [WS/Facebook]
