Want to meet Austin barbecue sensation Aaron Franklin? Even if you missed out on snagging tickets to Monday night's guest chef dinner with John Tesar, you've still got a chance: Franklin will appear at Oak Cliff hipster hangout The Wild Detectives this Sunday.
Starting at 5 p.m., Franklin will be signing copies of his recently released cookbook. Sadly, there won't be any of his famous brisket for sampling, but there will be some "locally provided smoked sausage" to nosh on while hanging out in the backyard. (Hey, there are definitely worse ways to spend a Sunday evening.) The event is free but you must RSVP via Eventbrite, and judging by how quickly the Knife dinner sold out, you'd best hurry.
