Carnival Barker's Ice Creams Now Slinging Frozen Treats in Oak Cliff

Aaron Barker's ice creamery gets a second location.

Truck Yard fixture Carnival Barker's Ice Creams now has a second outpost: Sunday marked the debut of Aaron Barker's new walk-up window on Oak Cliff's transitioning Jefferson Boulevard, just a few doors down from Small Brewpub.

With 500 square feet at his disposal — a downright luxury compared to the tight space he's squeezed into at Truck Yard — Barker now has plenty of space to produce all his ice creams and frozen treats for both locations. The menu changes according to Barker's whims, but expect ice cream flavors like vanilla, cookie butter, and Nutella, floats made with Saint Arnold's craft root beer, rice krispy treat ice cream sandwiches, and even an option to add bacon to your ice cream.

Carnival Barker's is closed today, but will reopen Tuesday — at which point they'll be open 24 hours a day for the remainder of the ice creamery's opening week. 3 a.m. cookie butter ice cream with bacon? Don't mind if we do.
