Fort Worth has a new craft brewery on the horizon: HopFusion Ale Works is headed to Fort Worth's burgeoning Southside with a brewery and taproom facility in the works for 200 E. Broadway.
Like many others in the craft beer biz, co-founders Macy Moore and Matt Hill started out as homebrewers. Here's what you can expect from HopFusion's inaugural lineup:
Feisty Blonde Honey Vanilla Blonde Ale: "This bronze/golden ale combines deeply aromatic orange blossom honey with a touch of pure Mexican Vanilla and raw brown sugar to round out its smooth finish."
Hairpin Session Ale: "Some may call it an IPA, a Pale Ale or maybe even a variation of an Irish red. We really don’t care for labels, we just know it nails the dry, crisp taste and depth we were looking for in a really low [4.3 percent] ABV brew."
Steampipe Black Rye IPA: "We can't say enough about the peppery, spicy profile rye offers to any well-crafted micro-brew. We took it up a notch and added a generous portion of rye and dark roasted barley to compliment the citrus backbone of the Amarillo hop."
Fur Slipper Imperial Milk Stout: "The biggest question we get is 'seriously, how can this be 9 percent?' Silky smooth with notes of roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and toffee; our Fur Slipper is a fusion of the traditional Milk Stout with the rich tones of a Russian Imperial."

The current craft beer boom means there's too many new and upcoming breweries to name here — but others on the immediate horizon include downtown Garland brewpub Intrinsic Brewing and McKinney's Tupps Brewery.
