Two-year-old HG Sply Co. is expanding. A second outpost of the Lowest Greenville staple is planned for the WestBend development in Fort Worth's University District. Per a press release, the "3,800-square-foot location with a 5,000-square-foot patio" will open "along the Trinity River and Trinity Trail in late 2015."
The HG in HG Sply stands for "hunter gatherer," with a Paleo diet-influenced menu that includes dishes like cauliflower steak with quinoa salad and build-your-own bowls with ingredients such as duck confit, roasted Brussels sprouts, seared ahi tuna, and caramelized parsnips. Top-notch cocktails come courtesy of beverage director Mate Hartai.
WestBend is already home to another Dallas-born restaurant by the name of East Hampton Sandwich Co., plus a Grimaldi's pizzeria and soon, specialty grocer The Fresh Market.
