Society Bakery is best known for giant M&M cookies and cupcakes topped with sugary swirls of frosting, but now the 12-year-old Greenville Avenue staple is branching out into the savory department.
Owner Roshi Muns has enlisted the help of a new executive chef, Dallas native Erron Star Depew, for a new menu that includes items like oh-so-trendy artisanal toasts. They're utilizing organic produce, humanely-raised pork, and hormone-free meats for the new menu additions. Toasts are served up on fresh-baked bread; there's an avocado version, of course, and they can also be slathered with housemade preserves.
Society Bakery is open weekdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
