Hurry Up and Wait for the New Off-Site Kitchen at Trinity Groves

Dear Nick Badovinus, we're very hungry.

There's now a patio where this mound of dirt once stood.

Say it ain't so: Off-Site Kitchen has pushed back its grand reopening at Trinity Groves. Nick Badovinus's much-loved burger joint had previously announced an opening date of Tuesday, June 16 for its new location, but now per a rep for Trinity Groves, it looks like it could be this Friday — or even later, as the latest deluge of rainfall to soak DFW might delay the finish-out of the space.

Then again, what's a few more days? After all, Off-Site Kitchen's plans for Trinity Groves were first made public way back in Summer 2013. But with the original Design District location being closed since June 6, those "Murph-style" burger cravings are beginning to intensify. Thankfully, Badovinus has promised that the griddle from the original restaurant will be making its way to Trinity Groves, ensuring that the burgers will taste as good as ever — and there will also be a whole lot more booze in the form of mai tais, Moscow mules, and frozen margaritas. That, in combination with later hours (till midnight on the weekends), more parking, and more seating means the new OSK should be worth the wait. But seriously, please hurry.
