Stylish fried chicken maven Lisa Garza-Selcer has a second restaurant in the works. The owner of Sissy's Southern Kitchen & Bar will open Shelby Hall this fall in downtown Dallas, serving "modern regional cuisine focusing on the Mississippi Delta and Lowcountry."
It'll be located at 1525 Elm Street in the LTV Tower (the building is also slated to include a new Hilton Garden Inn and luxury apartments). Running the kitchen will be former Five Sixty executive chef Patton Robertson, who's also now overseeing the kitchen at Sissy's. The menu will "focus on seafood dishes, rotisserie game and fowl" and there will also be an oyster and raw bar. A "bourbon-heavy beverage program" will showcase barrel-aged Jim Beam cocktails.
Shelby Hall isn't the only new Southern restaurant on the horizon — Velvet Taco and Whiskey Cake parent company Fork It Over is working on Ida Claire in Addison, and Blythe Beck and Kitchen LTO founder Casie Caldwell will soon open Pink Magnolia in the former Driftwood space in Oak Cliff.
