Local craft beer junkies will soon have a new place to kick back with a cold one: Three years after launching, Grapevine Craft Brewery will finally celebrate the grand opening of its permanent home on Friday, July 10.
After getting its start in a Grapevine garage, the brewery temporarily worked out of a Farmers Branch warehouse while waiting for its permanent digs to be ready. The new taproom and beer garden located in historic downtown Grapevine will be open seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a rotating lineup of food trucks feeding patrons between 5 and 8 p.m. In addition to all the house beers on tap, the taproom will also pour specialty sodas and cold-brew coffee, plus special limited brews and cask-aged beers.
The opening weekend festivities will also include live music, merch giveaways every hour, and the launch of a new year-round beer: HopFest United IPA, a 6.5 percent ABV brew made with 10 different hops varieties. Other year-round GCB brews include a wheat beer called Monarch, an English brown ale with the dapper moniker of Sir Williams, and NightWatch oatmeal stout.
