Easy Slider Truck Picks Deep Ellum For Brick-and-Mortar Venture

And yes, there will be alcohol.

Score another one for the rapidly transitioning 'hood of Deep Ellum: Mini-burger empresses Caroline Perini and Miley Holmes of the much-loved Easy Slider truck are opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant at 2701 Main Street, says Central Track.

Perini tells CT the restaurant could serve "as late as 3 or 4 a.m.," and in addition to the sliders the duo is known for — like the unusual Sweet & Lowdown with strawberry jam and goat cheese — they'll also add "Southern-inspired bar snacks." Perhaps more importantly, there will also be a full bar.

The Dallas food truck explosion may have waned somewhat, but Easy Slider is one of the biggest success stories to emerge from the boom, with three trucks now under its belt. Look for Easy Slider to hit Deep Ellum late this year or early 2016. Also in the works just a few doors down is Lead Belly Coffee, which besides caffeine will also feature booze and late-night hours.
