Hope you charged your phone last night: Reservations officially open today for the annual dining room takeover known as Restaurant Week. Over 125 DFW-area restaurants will participate in the prix fixe extravaganza that begins August 10, and the list of said restaurants along with menus and phone numbers was unleashed this morning; the impatient can simply scroll down for a text list. (A mobile-friendly version can be found here.)
As in previous years, Restaurant Week will feature $35 and $45 three-course dinner menus. Central Market patrons can snag a certificate for a free fourth course at participating restaurants with any $25 purchase; today only, shoppers can earn double certificates. A kickoff party goes down August 6. As per usual, 20 percent of every meal price goes to long-time charity partners the North Texas Food Bank or the Lena Pope Home.
There's not a whole lot of fresh restaurant meat on this year's list, though newcomers Public School 214 and Paul Martin's American Grill are represented. (As usual, there's a metric crap-ton of steakhouses on the list, if you're into that.) And although it's called Restaurant Week, many restaurants will continue offering their menus past the main week (August 10-16), with some stretching it all the way to August 30. For Restaurant Week haters, there's probably still time to book a cruise or something.
