Longtime Brunch Favorite Dream Cafe is Expanding to Lakewood

Eclectic brunch stalwart Dream Cafe has been a local favorite for nearly three decades, and now it's got a third location in the works: Lakewood. Advocate reports the brunch favorite will replace a Fuzzy's Taco location at Mockingbird and Abrams; construction is set to begin in August and will include a kids' play area, because hello, Lakewood.

Popular menu items at Dream Cafe's existing locations in Uptown's Quadrangle and Addison include strawberry-topped cloud cakes (ricotta pancakes) and the Melrose Club sandwich (chicken, bacon, brie, and caramelized onions on a baguette), plus plenty of vegetarian and vegan options and fresh-pressed juices.
