A Fort Worth icon is on the brink of some pretty exciting new developments. Swiss Pastry Shop — most famous for its inimitable Black Forest cake and, more recently, some seriously badass burgers — will soon be open for dinner with a whole new menu.
To help accomplish this feat, owner Hans Peter Muller has hired a chef: Peter Kreidler, whose resume includes stints at Clay Pigeon and Neighborhood Services. Dinner service will likely launch next Friday, August 7, says 360 West, with a menu that unites Swiss, German, and Texas flavors. Dishes include a schnitzel made with Akaushi beef, bratwurst meatballs, and Alpen macaroni, a Swiss-style mac and cheese loaded with bacon, potato, and gruyere — plus the much-talked-about Wagyu burgers.
Stay tuned to Swiss Pastry Shop's Facebook page for updates, and scope out the dinner menu below:
Muller secured his beer and wine permit a week or so ago, and says the beer cooler is stocked and ready to go; it'll include around 20 options, most of them from local breweries like Revolver, Four Corners, Franconia, and Martin House, plus a few imports including the tasty low-alcohol favorite Stiegl Radler.
