Portland's third wave coffee roasting empire Stumptown is heading to Highland Park with the opening of a 6,000-square-foot Royal Blue Grocery this fall. Along with a Stumptown coffee bar, the new store—which is the Austin-based grocer's largest to date and the first in Dallas— will also have a cafe with seating for 70+ including an outdoor patio and options for grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and dinner (peep the menu below).
Royal Blue Grocery specializes in gourmet items—from charcuterie to fancy pickles—as well as catering, and is planning to stock various local products from chocolates to breads. Bonus: it will also stay open until midnight every day. Here's a taste of what some of the other stores actually look like, which is basically what's planned for the new location at Highland Park Village— compact 'modern, urban' shopping is its thing.
