Graham Dodds Departs Hibiscus For New Greenville Ave. Project

He's partnering with the guys behind So & So's and Standard Pour.

Tough blow for Henderson Ave. dining destination Hibiscus: The insanely talented Graham Dodds is on his way out.

Dodds is teaming up with the guys behind Standard Pour, High Fives, and So & So’s — Brandon Hays and Phil Schanbaum, aka This & That Concepts — for a new restaurant that will take over the old Kirby's Woodfire Grill space at 3525 Greenville Avenue (next to Blue Fish and across the street from the Granada). Per a press release, the still-unnamed concept "will be the next level of Chef Dodds’ commitment to local, seasonal, and Texas cuisine." It further promises "a warm, inviting environment brimming with plant life and a mix of raw materials," with seating for 200 including a garden patio. Dodds will be a co-owner in the project, a first for him.

The concept will be open for brunch and dinner only and is expected to open before the end of the year. In the meantime, Dodds will be in the kitchen at Hibiscus until October 7.
