The burgeoning Cane Rosso pizza empire is about to grow again: Looks like Cane Rosso Carrollton will be making its highly anticipated debut sometime in September.
Located at 1301 S. Broadway in the city's sleepy downtown area, the pizzeria takes over a former bicycle shop. Here's a look at how the interior is shaping up, courtesy of the restaurant's YouTube channel (appropriate musical accompaniment provided by Tom Petty, who knows all too well that "the waiting is the hardest part"):
Cane Rosso marketing and social media guru Jeff Amador says they hope to have the new restaurant up and running "within the next couple of weeks or so," and says they've also got "a surprise or two in store." Complimentary ranch dressing? A ferocious junkyard dog to keep unruly children in line? No telling just yet, but one thing Cane Rosso Carrollton will definitely have is a full liquor license, meaning there will be a menu of tasty cocktails to accompany your beloved Delia pie.
Jay Jerrier's Neapolitan pizza sensation is also getting ready to open its first locations outside DFW, with not one but two Houston outposts currently in the works.
