Hold on to your donuts, Dallas — Eater’s first-ever Sweets Week begins right this very second, and just in time for Halloween.

From now until October 28, Eater sites across the country will be highlighting some of the city’s sweetest confections, including cake, candy, doughnuts, pies, and of course, cookies. If you were dying to learn everything there is to know about Dallas’ bakery scene, this is going to be your best week ever.

Stay tuned for a look at one of Dallas’ newest frozen treat shops, a guide to the city’s best pie shops, and so much more sweetness. You’ll also find baking tips from some of Dallas’ most talented pastry chefs, and perhaps a delicious Sweets Week-themed surprise at one of our favorite haunts.

As always, if you know of an excellent dessert that should be on our radar, feel free to drop us a note via the tipline or send us a Tweet.

Buckle in, y’all. It’s going to be a sweet, sweet ride.
