After the arrival of 85C Bakery Café, another major Taiwanese chain is setting its sights on Dallas.
Sharetea, a bubble tea shop first opened in Taipei, Taiwan in 1992, will officially make its DFW debut this winter. The chain’s menu features house brewed teas and smoothies topped with tapioca pearls, puddings, jellies, and fruit at its 450+ stores across 18 countries.
In addition to the traditional drinks, you’ll also find more wacky offerings like Cereal Tea Slushes topped with Fruity Pebbles or Corn Flakes. All ingredients for Sharetea’s beverages are produced in Taiwan and shipped to DFW, which the chain says helps maintain consistency across the globe.
Sharetea will open two DFW locations in the coming months, one in Carrollton at 2601 Old Denton Road, and another in Plano at 3933 N. Central Expressway. The locations are currently under construction (or remodeling) and an opening timeframe will largely be dependent on how quickly the chain can secure permits from the locations’ respective cities.
At present, Sharetea is expected to debut between December 2016 and February 2017. Stay tuned for more updates.
