The restaurant, likely named Mirador, will open across the street

Over the past couple of years, The Joule Hotel has dramatically transformed Downtown’s dining scene. With four concepts — Americano, CBD Provisions, Midnight Rambler, and Weekend Coffee — already in the works, it appears as if the swanky hotel is planning yet another.

Posts to Joule executive chef Nilton “Junior” Borges’ Instagram account indicate that a new concept is coming to the building across the street from the hotel that recently debuted as the new home of Uptown boutique Forty Five Ten. That project has long been in the works, but the restaurant is a seemingly newer development.

Borges doesn’t divulge too many details in these Instagram posts, but there is one curious development that may point to the restaurant’s chef de cuisine. Josh Sutcliff, former FT33 sous and Filament executive chef, is pictured in one of the photos with the hashtag “#weareopeningarestaurant.”

As far as the restaurant’s name, it appears as if it might be Mirador, which translates to “balcony.” A Whois search turns up a URL for Mirador Restaurant registered by Joule assistant general manager Jose Tapia.

It also looks like this spot is going to have one hell of a rooftop bar with a view of the giant eyeball. Eater has reached out for more details on this forthcoming concept — stay tuned for updates.
