Italian cuisine isn’t exactly abundant in Dallas, but a new restaurant will hopefully change all that when it arrives in Uptown.
CultureMap reports that North Italia will open its doors inside The Union building (formerly known as Akard Place) in Uptown. The concept is a project of Phoenix-based group Fox Restaurant Concepts, which as CultureMap notes, will also open a neighborhood restaurant called The Henry inside the same development.
At present, there are outposts of North Italia in Austin and Houston. Earlier this year, Drake was spotted dining at the North Italia in Houston’s Galleria, which probably means that it’s pretty good? In case you were looking to order like Drake when the restaurant arrives, a manager told Eater Houston that the rapper enjoyed North Italia’s Dimmi Bravo cocktail, mixed with raspberry limoncello, Dimmi Liquore di Milano, and Mediterranean tonic.
North Italia is set to make its Dallas debut in early 2018 if all goes according to plan.
