Mall dining continues to evolve beyond pretzel stands and food court fare, and the Galleria’s newest eatery is even more proof of that trend.

Announced via release, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant has officially opened its doors inside the Galleria. This is the first Texas location for the California-based chain, which currently operates 17 locations in California, Arizona, and Nevada, and was designed by Dallas’ own Hatsumi Kuzuu,

The menu will feature a variety of “small plates, salads, sushi, sashimi, rolls, entrees, signature dishes, and noodle and rice options.” For those with dietary restrictions, vegetarian and gluten-free options will be on offer, along with a selection of kid-friendly items. The bar is helmed by one of only two Master Sake Sommeliers in the United States, Yuji Matsumoto, and will feature beer, wine, sake, soju, and craft cocktails.

Kabuki is now officially open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
