Luscher’s Will Serve Its Final Red Hots & Uncle Herky Burgers Today

The restaurant’s closure brought a serious rush of hot dog enthusiasts

Late Friday afternoon, news came that Luscher’s Red Hots in Deep Ellum would close its doors for good early next week. Now, it appears as if that closure is going to happen much sooner than expected.

CultureMap originally reported the news of Luscher’s closure, saying that the spot would serve its last Red Hots and Uncle Herky burgers on Tuesday. But over the weekend, nostalgic hot dog enthusiasts “crushed” the restaurant, causing it to run out of food early Saturday afternoon.

Now, Luscher’s has announced that it will serve a “very limited” menu on Sunday, and that will be your last chance for a Uncle Herky burger ever — at least at the Deep Ellum original. Check out Luscher’s full announcement below:

Wowza! What an outpouring of love from everyone! Thank YOU!! We are SOLD OUT for now, but will reopen as soon as we can! Stay tuned...

If you’re dying to get your hands on whatever Eye-talian Beef sandwiches and hot dogs are left, you’re going to want to get there early. If Saturday’s crowds are any indication, Luscher’s will say goodbye to Dallas at a record clip tomorrow.

So long, Red Hots.
