Situated directly across from the Dallas Arboretum, Smoky Rose will soon offer “rustically refined” fare in a casual-upscale vibe. An open smokehouse will be a fixture of the new space, along with a garden patio (opening a little later) inspired by the restaurant’s neighbor.
Opening on Thursday, December 22, Smoky Rose will serve dinner and lunch full of smoked meats, like chicken wings with a blue cheese sauce, and lighter dishes, like a kale and roasted butternut squash salad.
David “Spoon” Gauthier, a Tennessee transplant, will serve as Smoky Rose’s executive chef. Before moving to Dallas to develop this concept, Gauthier was executive chef at Union Kitchen and Bitter Alibi, both in Chattanooga, TN
The restaurant sits at 8602 Garland Rd. and will open Monday through Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to midnight; Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
