The announcement that Waffle House, everyone’s favorite 2 a.m. breakfast establishment, would be coming to East Dallas was pretty damn exciting news, especially when you consider the late-night dining options in the area. After a long wait, it would appear if our dreams have officially come true.

CultureMap reports that the spanking-new Waffle House on Ross Avenue in East Dallas has quietly opened its doors as of today. Waffle House manager John Velis told CultureMap’s Teresa Gubbins that the Ross Ave location is just one of many new Waffle House outposts planned for Dallas. "Dallas has been such a strong market for Waffle House in the last five years that our corporate office in Atlanta decided to build sixteen more stores in the area," he said.

Waffle House opened its first restaurant in Avondale Estates, Georgia in 1955. It has since expanded to more than 2,100 locations across the United States, one of which is currently sitting on Ross Avenue, just waiting to be your new late-night breakfast spot. Waffle House is (obviously) open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
