UPDATED with last-minute menu additions and (most importantly) cocktails.

We've long been awaiting Chef John Tesar's return to the flat-top griddle. Nearly four years after the closure of The Commissary, Dallas' most notable chef is returning to his burger-focused roots with The Royale.

The Royale, a collaboration with Tesar's partners at Apheleia Restaurant Group, will land at Plano's Shops at Legacy sometime "very soon," before the end of February according to Tesar. Last month, Eater got an inside look at the Wes Anderson-inspired space, and now we've got your first glimpse at Tesar's whimsical menu for The Royale.

Burgers are "of an animal," like The Bison Quintessence, topped with Jarlsberg cheese and sliced avocado, and "of the aquatic," featuring patties made with crab, shrimp, and Maine lobster. There will also be a weekly rotating burger and veggie burger special, in addition to Tesar's takes on poutine, chicken strips, and salads.

Scope out the full menu below, and try to contain your drool.
