Buddy Velastro is famous across the world for his elaborately crafted cakes, perfect cannoli, and, of course, that hit TV show on Food Network. Last month, we learned that Valastro would be bringing his Carlo’s Bake Shop to Dallas, and now we’ve got an official opening date.
GuideLive reports that Carlo’s Bake Shop of Cake Boss fame will open its doors in Preston Center on March 19, and you might want to go ahead and stake out your plans to stand in line on opening day. As GuideLive notes, when Carlo’s opened in Orlando, Florida last year, patrons waited up to 11 hours in line for a taste of those fresh cannoli.
In addition to the custom cakes that made Carlo’s Bake Shop a household name, the bakery will also plenty of grab-and-go options, like cookies and biscotti. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, and the Valastro family will be on hand to cut the grand opening ribbon for their first-ever Texas location.
