FORT WORTH – Attorney Bryan Wilson, more widely known as the Texas Law Hawk, will star in a Super Bowl spot for Taco Bell after ads for his law firm went viral last year. In the commercial, Wilson joins the Houston Rockets’ James Harden to debut Taco Bell’s top-secret new offering, which may or may not be a cheese-filled taco. [AdWeek]

PLANO – Continuing the expansion of Dallas dining scene north, Dugg Burger will settle its hollowed-out buns in Plano at the intersection of Park Boulevard and Preston Rd. The suburban outpost of Dugg Burger will occupy a 3,000-square-foot space that will include a separate station for online and to-go orders, and will launch a menu of shakes in addition to their burger offerings. The Plano location is expected to open its doors by “early March.” [Dallas Business Journal]

MCKINNEY – The success of Sugarbacon brings a brand new offshoot of the concept called Butcher Board. Sugarbacon chef Jon Thompson will oversee the menu, which will focus on “simple, chef-driven sandwiches” made with hand-carved roasts, like porchetta. No word yet on an opening date, but you should probably put this one on your radar – Thompson plans to serve “smoky, lard-fried potato chips” made with rendered fat from the restaurant’s namesake dish. [CultureMap]
