Next week, Hash House A Go Go’s giant, Martha Stewart-approved breakfasts and “twisted farm food” will land in Plano’s Preston Park Village. The restaurant, which started in San Diego in 2000 and has since expanded to ten locations in four states, has earned a reputation for its over-the-top fare, much of it featuring bacon.
Hash House A Go Go is soon to become a favorite Dallas brunch spot. “We are excited to bring our twisted Midwestern fare to Texas,” says Hash House A Go Go Chief Operating Officer Jim Rees.“Hash House a Go Go is a lively place to gather with friends and family for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and we are confident Texans will enjoy it.”
To that end, Hash House A Go Go features a cozy design with plenty of seating and multiple bars. The “country-style decor” is mixed with “urban flair,” and boasts two outdoor patios complete with screened-in porch on which you can sip BLT Bloody Marys and dig into a Texas-shaped bacon waffle, the way that waffles were intended to be made.
Outside of brunch, the menu is equally massive and decadent. Texas-inspired dishes include (of course) Hash House A Go Go’s take on chicken fried steak along with fried green tomatoes and eggs rancheros served with sopes. Cocktails include a selection of bloody marys topped with extravagant shrimp skewers or mixed with moonshine and fruity, boozy lemonades.
