EAST DALLAS – Cow Tipping Creamery, Austin’s finest soft-serve shop, has officially set up shop inside East Dallas' Good 2 Go Taco. The newbie spot is still finding its footing and opening up quietly, but you’ll want to get here ASAP chocolate, vanilla, and swirl soft-serve paired with swanky toppings like caramelized bananas, brown sugar chocolate syrup, and gigantic brownie chunks. The doors swing open at 5 p.m. today. [EaterWire]

UPTOWN – The wait is over, Uptown: Uchi’s upstairs baby sibling Top Knot will launch brunch service on Sunday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch will be available on Sunday only until April 30, when Top Knot will expand service to Saturday and Sunday. Look forward to hot chicken eggs benedict and a boozy Jim Beam brunch punch. In keeping with dinner, the restaurant will not accept reservations for brunch service. [EaterWire]

NORTH DALLAS – The Galleria Mall is already packed with dining options from fine fare to fast food, and now a new Japanese concept will add to the mix. Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, an export from Pasadena, CA that’s been open since 1991, will open its doors at the Galleria in Summer 2016. Look forward to sushi, sake, and other Japanese standards.
