It’s long been known that Jay Jerrier, pizza empresario and owner of Cane Rosso, is the definition of a dog lover. Last year, Jerrier launched Cane Rosso Rescue, a non-profit rescue organization that helps abandoned pups find their forever homes, and now he's helping another rescue organization get back on its feet after tragedy.
In response to a devastating fire at the Humane Society of Southeast Texas that resulted in the deaths of a number of dogs at the facility, Cane Rosso is stepping up to raise funds for the Humane Society’s rebuilding process. On Monday, Cane Rosso Deep Ellum will donate 100% of the evening's sales to the organization, which means that it’s probably time to indulge in one of those $1000 sides of delicious ranch dressing.
Cane Rosso’s regular menu will be on offer, in addition to the pint glasses the restaurant handed out earlier this year to celebrate their fifth anniversary. The charitable party kicks off tonight at Cane Rosso Deep Ellum, and you should be ready to scarf down your pizza in a hurry.
"We are expecting a large crowd, so please be prepared to wait," read a post on Cane Rosso’s Facebook page. "Please try to help us raise more dollars by surrendering your tables to new groups as quickly as possible!"
