UPTOWN – Dallas steak queen Dee Lincoln has embarked on a boozy new project called The Tipsy Alchemist. The upscale cocktail bar is designed to “blow your mind with elevated cocktails through science, art, and technique,” and will open in the former Dee Lincoln Bubble Bar space this May. Look forward to Champagne and wine by the glass, molecular cocktails, and after-dinner desserts. [CultureMap]

DOWNTOWN – Dallas’ selection of food trucks is ever-growing, but it’s impossible to keep track of where your favorites are parked. Starting today, Easy Slider will host Food Truck Thursdays at Commerce & Pearl, featuring some of the city’s best mobile eateries. Today, Azucar will park from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by Chez Flow, Say Kimchi, and Bellatrino in the coming weeks. [EaterWire]

KNOX/HENDERSON – In case you frequently find yourself with a late night (or early morning, however you look at it) hankering for a falafel or chicken tikka taco, Velvet Taco has plans to satisfy your needs. The popular Henderson Ave taco spot will now stay open until 5 a.m., with eventual plans to keep the restaurant open 24 hours a day. [GuideLive]
