UPTOWN – A new concept planned for the space that once housed Uptown Pawn called Eastwood’s Bar is slated to open in mid-March. The concept will serve lunch, brunch, and dinner, along with craft cocktails. Expect "healthier" fare than typical bar food, including wraps and a "fun" chicken-waffle sandwich. Perhaps most importantly, Uptown residents can look forward to a dog-friendly patio with a fenced-in space that can fit "10 to 15" dogs. [CultureMap]

PLANO – The Royale, John Tesar’s newest concept, has officially opened its doors for lunch. The full menu will be available, which means you’ll be able to drown your sorrows with a Maine lobster burger and caramelized banana milkshake before heading back to work. The Royale opens for lunch at 11 a.m. [EaterWire]

DENTON – Denton’s craft beer scene is brewing stronger than ever these days, and a successful team of restaurateurs will bring yet another brew-focused concept to Little D. Audacity Brew House, from the minds behind Barley & Board and LSA Burger Co., will open at Travelstead, an 8,000 square foot space that hosts Denton’s Oaktopia festival. In addition to the beers brewed on site, the kitchen will serve up a "hops inspired" menu. Audacity Brew House is slated to open by the end of the year. [Dallas Observer]
