A Cozy, Dog-Friendly New Bar Will Open In Uptown; The Royale Is Officially Open For Lunch

UPTOWN – A new concept planned for the space that once housed Uptown Pawn called Eastwood’s Bar is slated to open in mid-March. The concept will serve lunch, brunch, and dinner, along with craft cocktails. Expect "healthier" fare than typical bar food, including wraps and a "fun" chicken-waffle sandwich. Perhaps most importantly, Uptown residents can look forward to a dog-friendly patio with a fenced-in space that can fit "10 to 15" dogs. [CultureMap]

PLANO – The Royale, John Tesar’s newest concept, has officially opened its doors for lunch. The full menu will be available, which means you’ll be able to drown your sorrows with a Maine lobster burger and caramelized banana milkshake before heading back to work. DENTON – Denton’s craft beer scene is brewing stronger than ever these days, and a successful team of restaurateurs will bring yet another brew-focused concept to Little D. Audacity Brew House, from the minds behind Barley & Board and LSA Burger Co., will open at Travelstead, an 8,000 square foot space that hosts Denton’s Oaktopia festival.
