UPTOWN – Brewed + Pressed, a combination juice bar and coffee shop, will open in Uptown’s West Village this spring. Owner Zach Adell, a fitness trainer, has hired a “classically trained, plant-based” chef to lead the kitchen, which will offer sprouted green bowls, chia pudding, and other healthy snacks. Of course, espresso from Portland’s Stumptown Roasters, housemade almond milk, and cold-pressed juices will also be on offer. [CultureMap]

PLANO – Tre Wilcox has been very busy these past few months. After opening Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine in January, he’ll launch Tre Wilcox Cooking Concepts, a brand new “hands-on culinary environment” where the celebrity chef will teach novice cooks how to braise, slice, and dice with the best of them. Classes start at $75, and can be scheduled via Wilcox’s website.

MCKINNEY – Patina Green, the tiny interiors market and pop-up style restaurant that is McKinney’s shiniest hidden gem, has expanded its lunch service. Previously only available a few days a week, Patina Green’s Chef Robert Lyford will serve his locally-sourced sandwiches, soups, and salad seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. [EaterWire]
