Short-lived Oak Lawn restaurant BITE by Chef Eddy T quietly shuttered on April 6, D Magazine first-reports. The restaurant owned by chef Eddie Thretipthuangsina underwent a revamp last fall following the closure of Thretipthuangsina's other concept Kin Kin Urban Thai. The earlier project survived less than six months in Oak Lawn. BITE's closure was announced on Facebook with little explanation.

Thretipthuangsina still operates a Kin Kin location in Fort Worth where he recently gave the menu a major overhaul, and has plans to bring a similar concept to Richardson's CityLine development.
