Keep Calm: Zoli's NY Pizza Tavern Is Officially On The Way Back

It's baaaaaaack

The closure of Zoli's, Cane Rosso owner Jay Jerrier's ode to New York-style pizza, left a slice-shaped hole in our hearts. Jerrier has long vowed that Zoli's would be back, and it appears as if that's going to happen sooner rather than later.

Announced via release this morning, Zoli's NY Pizza Tavern 2.0 is already in the works. A space on Midway Road, formerly a Snuffer's, is being renovated to suit the Zoli's charm you've come to know and love. No word yet on where exactly the sweet unicorn bust from the restaurant's former Bishop Arts location will take up residence.

Pizza whiz Lee Hunzinger will return to Zoli's at the new location, and he's been hard at work testing pastas, breads for sandwiches, and other tasty treats in the restaurant's downtime. Hunzinger will be joined by Chef Cody Sharp, formerly of Filament and The Standard Pour, in the kitchen.

Jerrier expects that Zoli's 2.0 will open its doors by November. In the meantime, prepare yourself for those sweet, sweet pies with renderings of the future space and photos of the progress that's currently underway.
