Chef Taylor Kearney of Front Room Tavern is decidedly one of Dallas’ best up-and-coming chefs, and his plate is about to get a whole lot more full. Starting next month, Kearney will lead the kitchen at Cedar Grove, the restaurant formerly known as DISH Cedar Springs.
Announced via release, Kearney will work at both Cedar Grove and Front Room Tavern for the foreseeable future. He’s been working on developing the menu for the new restaurant, which will feature a focus on “shareable menu items at a reasonable price point.”
Think charred “Swedish” meatballs, bruleed bone marrow, and an extension of the killer charcuterie program Kearney’s been working on at Front Room Tavern.
Of his busy new schedule, Kearney isn’t too concerned. “I am ecstatic. I have amazing chefs right now and two of them have been promoted to Chef De Cuisine so they can take a more vital role in the restaurant group’s growth,” he said via release. “The Front Room Tavern will still be under a watchful eye. Luckily, my team and I think and operate very similarly which will make this transition much smoother.”
Cedar Grove kicks open the doors on June 14.
