In today’s dose of really good news, you won’t have to wait until September to to enjoy the magic of a corny dog. In celebration of the Texas State Fair’s 150th anniversary, Fletcher’s Original State Fair Corny Dogs will serve up their classic fair fave for two days this summer.
Per Fletcher’s Facebook page, customers will be able to get their freshly dipped corn dogs from the permanent location on the Midway. Even better, spokesperson for the fair told WFAA sources that a portion of the Midway, including the Texas Star and Top 'O' Texas Tower will be running for free during the celebration, because there’s nothing better than gorging on fried food before spending all your cash on spinning carnival rides.
To get one of those coveted corny dogs, you’ll need to head to Fair Park. Fletcher's will be frying up dogs on Friday, June 10 from 5 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Considering the cult status of a Fletcher’s dog, expect to wait in line.
If you miss out in June, you’ll have to wait until the 2016 State Fair of Texas officially begins on September 30 for your next chance.
