McKinney's dining scene continues to grow as restaurants like Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen and Patina Green begin to grab attention from diners and critics near and far. And for good reason – you'll have to make a bit of a drive, but the food in one of Dallas' most northerly 'burbs is excellent.

Adding to this rapidly growing scene is Sugarbacon executive chef Jon Thompson. This week, Thompson has officially opened Downtown McKinney's newest lunch spot, Butcher Board. The concept focuses on chef-driven sandwiches perfect for a quick midday meal that doesn't sacrifice quality.

Now officially open, you can head to Butcher Board for a Whole Hog (bacon, pulled pork, honey glazed ham) or Meatball Loaf sandwich any time the craving strikes.
