As if we weren’t already tired enough of the 2016 presidential race, it’s only starting to heat up. Now that both parties have their presumptive nominees, the truly important part of politics begins – creating snarky dishes inspired by this year’s candidates.
Announced via release, Del Frisco’s Grille has added to politically-inspired burgers to the menu – The Donald and The Hillary. Trump’s burger is a pretty standard cheeseburger that will feature a well-done patty of prime beef, aged cheddar cheese, and heirloom tomato served on a gold leaf-studded bun. On the side, you’ll find “teeny tiny” gherkins, a reference to Trump’s reportedly petite hands.
On the other side of the political coin, there’s the Hillary Burger. Unfortunately, all details on this burger are top secret classified information, and you’ll have to email thehillary@dfrg.com in order to find out what exactly will top this patty. Hopefully, they won’t delete your emails or (worse) release them to Congress for close scrutiny.
The Dallas-based chain has added the Trump and Clinton inspired burgers to its menu at all 21 Del Frisco’s Grille locations across the country. No word yet on when this special will end, but you can likely expect for it to stick around until November.
