– Dallas’ favorite divey cocktail lounge turns 11 this year, and is planning an epic party to celebrate. On Saturday, June 11, head to Windmill Lounge for its 11th birthday party for free sliders from Easy Slider Food Truck, live music from local DJs, and of course, killer cocktails. At 11 p.m., the bar will host a champagne and cake toast to celebrate their graduation from pre-K to middle school.

– CultureMap reports that Socca, a new “outdoor food pavilion” will open at the Dallas Museum of Art. Named for a thin chickpea crepe that can be topped with savory and sweet accoutrements, Socca Mediterranean Cafe is slated to open its doors on June 7.

– Next week, some of Texas’ finest sous chefs will descend on CBD Provisions for the Texas Sous Chef Dinner. Helmed by Lucia’s Justin Holt, the two nights of dinners will feature nine sous chefs each serving up a nine-course meal paired with wine and cocktails. The dinners will feature sous chefs from American, Austin’s Fixe, and Fluff Bake Bar in Houston.

– SideDish reports that Deep Ellum’s Braindead Brewing will be one of a few select breweries across the country to brew Arrogant Bastard Ale, a beer that will raise funds for the Brain Injury Network of Dallas. Introduced in 1997, the beer’s “aggressive” flavor profile has long been a hit with beer enthusiasts.
