WEST DALLAS – The Austin invasion continues at Sylvan Thirty as Houndstooth Coffee has officially opened its second Dallas outpost at the white-hot West Dallas development. The location will be Houndstooth’s largest to date, and will feature a kitchen that will serve food, along with a forthcoming cocktail bar that will launch later this year. [EaterWire]

HURST – While not typically thought of as a dining destination, the arrival of Grain & Dairy is pretty darn exciting for those in the Midcities. The gourmet grilled cheese concept will serve ten customizable sandwiches in addition to soups, salads, and other sides. Diners can also create their own grilled cheese with a selection of more than 20 delicious add-ins. Grain & Dairy is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. [EaterWire]

DESIGN DISTRICT – For the fourth year in a row, Matt McCallister’s FT33 has been named one of the country’s best wine restaurants by Wine Enthusiast magazine. “2016 has seen an expansion of the wine team,” reads the announcement. “Those Spanish and Italian expertise means inspired and less-seen selections from those countries.” FT33 was the only DFW restaurant selected for the list, and one of only two Texas establishments alongside Houston’s Underbelly. [Wine Enthusiast]
