UPDATE: The Halal Guys' Facebook page now indicates the restaurant will open July 23.
Your moment has finally arrived, Dallas. At long last, The Halal Guys will finally kick open the doors to their highly-anticipated Lemmon Ave location next month – which means that you only have a few more weeks to wait before you can start chowing down on those delicious platters of chicken and rice.
According to a post on The Halal Guys Facebook page, we officially have a tentative opening date of July 22. At present, the restaurant is actively searching for employees to staff the Dallas outpost, just in case you’re looking for a job that will allow you to indulge your deep love of white sauce-topped chicken and lamb.
The arrival of The Halal Guys could mean that halal cart food is officially a trend in Dallas. Big Guys Chicken & Rice recently began serving up excellent platters and gyros in Deep Ellum, and diners in Arlington rave about the offerings at New York Eats near the University of Texas Arlington campus.
Which means that if you can’t wait until July 22 for your halal food fix, you’ve got options. When The Halal Guys finally makes its appearance, you’ll be able to see whether or not it lives up to all the hype.
